New look Herbology

It’s a new year and it’s a new site. Welcome to the new look Herbology site.

Even though the last lot of changes weren’t that long ago, I was not happy with the look and the way that everything was spread far and wide.  There were 3 places for discussions to keep an eye on….articles were over there while blog posts were over here and Facebook is getting busier as well.

So, here we are, a neater, more accessible site that I hope you’ll find welcoming and easy to use and one that is much easier for me to monitor.

Now the site is not 100% finished.  I had to get it live asap as there would have been 3000+ users of the Herbology iPhone application, wondering why they couldn’t access certain bits of the app.

You may come across some broken picture links – I am slowly sorting those out manually (who knew there were so many pictures on here?)  If you find any major issues please contact me straight away so I can fix it for you.  And I am slowly importing the huge number of recipes I accumulated over time, so please be patient with me.

Ok, that’s all the boring stuff out of the way, here is the exciting news:

We have a new contributor to the Herbology site and its vision.

Take a bow, Leslie Postin from Comfrey Cottages!!!!

Leslie has kindly agreed to share her herbal journey with us and has allowed me to add her blog to the site.  Once you have read her posts you will agree with me that she is an amazing lady who delves deep into traditional wisdom with more of a grassroots approach.  I met Leslie through Herbology and I am ever so glad that we have become friends even though we are oceans apart.  Having Leslie on board also makes it easier for Herbology to give a balanced perspective since she has more of an insight into what’s happening seasonally in the Northern Hemisphere.

I do hope you will all make Leslie very welcome and enjoy her journey as much as I do.

Have a look around the new site.  See what works, what doesn’t, what you like and not like.  Feedback would be very welcome, either here on the blog, Facebook or privately.

It’s great to start the New Year with a clean, less cluttered look.  Looking forward to sharing a herbal 2011 with all of you.
