spray combined with garlic & Nettles makes an effective spray against thrips.
- Plant near brassicas to confuse white cabbage butterfly
- Generally keeps plants nearby healthy and is supposed to enhance their perfume.

- Useful against aphids, ants and caterpillars but it will burn very young plants so use carefully.

- Plant chives around the base of fruit trees to repel climbing insects and under apple and pear trees to prevent apple scab, black spot and curly leaf.

Eucalyptus

- Usually acts to deter pests from feeding
- Prinkle dust or fresh leaves on cockroach runways to repel them
- Paperbags sprinkled with eucalyptus oil and tied around fruit will protect them from fruit bats andpossums.
- Pure eucalyptus oilw ill kill aphids, scale, slaters and many other pests.
- Use the oil in cool weather only otherwise growth and flowers may burn
- Infused Oil (not essential oil) on skin can repel ants, & flies….never put PURE oil on skin.
- Might repel ticks and leeches.
- Comb dilute oil or dust through pets coat to repel fleas, flies and ticks.
- Add leaves to add to fire produce a pungent smoke which will repel mosquitoes.

- Important companion plant- repels both airborne and soilborne pests
- Garlic plants deter leaf-eating beetles, spider mites and fruit flies, and the smell of garlic confuses carrot fly and white cabbage moths.
- Grown carrots and brassicas in rows interspersed with garlic, onions and chives.
- Planted around the base of peach & nectarine trees will lessen curly leaf infection and stops rabbits chewing bark.
- Planted among raspberries protects them from grubs
- Garlic bulbs dropped in termite mounds causes termites to move out and dried cloves of garlic keep weevils out of food.
- Feed garlic to pets to repel fleas
- Eat lots of garlic to stop mozzies biting

This is a lot of really useful information. Excellent, we had a problem with aphids, caterpillars and beetles last year. Thank you. The one thing that I would change is that it is listed to feed garlic to pets. Both garlic and onions are poisonous to most pets. It’s ok if it’s like a minced piece every year or so but that is definitely not something that you want your dog or cat eating on a regular basis.
